Why retained search instead of a recruiter on contingency?
A retained firm is committed to your search from day one, not competing with other agencies for a fee. That commitment funds deeper outreach, more candor about the market and a better shortlist. It also means we can turn down searches we are not right for.
What kinds of companies do you work with?
Founders and companies across industries and across the country, when the role matters and leadership is closely involved. We work with early-stage founders building a first leadership team and with established companies filling a critical seat.
Where do you work?
Nationwide. We are based in Southern California, and we run searches for companies wherever they are, for on-site, hybrid and remote roles.
Why do you take on so few searches?
Because focus is the product. Every search is run personally from first conversation to signed offer. Limiting the number of engagements we accept is how we protect the quality of each one.
What do you need from us?
Access to the people who make the decision, timely feedback on candidates, and a willingness to move decisively when the right person appears. The best searches are a partnership.
How do you handle confidentiality?
Confidential searches stay confidential. We can run a search without naming your company until a candidate is qualified and interested, and we treat every candidate's interest with the same discretion.
What happens if the hire does not work out?
Every placement carries a 90-day replacement guarantee. If the hire does not work out in that window, we will search again.
How long does a search take?
It depends on the role and the market. We agree on a realistic plan and timeline in the written scope before we begin, and we keep you updated along the way.
How do we get started?
Book a short introductory call. We will talk through the role and your goals, and tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
